Yarraville Stench - STINKY!

I grew up in Altona East with the stench of Pridhams in the air. Now, I live in Yarraville - the area still stinks. The local paper goes on and on about the smell in the air and they keep citing Cargill, Sita and Tasman Abattoir. Firstly, the slaughter of stock is not allowed in suburban areas here so forget the last place. Anyone travelling along the Western Ring Road in Melbourne will tell you that you need to wind your windows up when you pass Pridhams otherwise you may vomit on your dash board. What are Pridhams? - they are organic recyclers. By organic I mean they recycle the carcasses of all the animals we consume as food. They turn smelly stuff into not smelly stuff and logic will dictate that the smell has to go somewhere. Here's the big thing: I spoke to someone who works for Pridhams, he's a friend of mine. I said 'hey when are you guys going to stop stinking up the western suburbs?' His reply was this 'you'll need to get over it, oh won't everyone get over it, we've been there for a hundred years, we were there before there was anyone around to care about the smell.'

So, activists and clean air specialists listen up! The smell is coming from Pridhams! Walk down the street where they are, it's them. Don't move the blame to another company or say 'we're not sure which of the factories are creating the smell' - it's Pridhams! Always has been and will always be until you shut them down. - my question is this - "HOW MUCH DID PRIDHAMS PAY AND TO WHO FOR THE LOCAL ACTION GROUPS, EPA, AND THE LOCAL NEWSPAPERS TO IGNORE THE REAL SOURCE OF THE STINK?
